Prosper Rufus, also known as Chidoking, is a multi-genre music act, singer, songwriter, and composer. Born on 27th May 1982, he was raised in Okigwe Imo State, Nigeria, by music inclined parents. This could explain why he started singing at an early age of 6, and would later learn how to play Bass guitar. Chidoking and his cousin Philip would always present a duet during children's days in their church to the admiration of the congregation. He would later record and release a gospel music album with Philip in 2004, titled, ‘Jehovah Have Blessed me'
His father, Deacon Rufus Nwani was a choirmaster in their church and was a major motivation in Prosper Rufus Music career. With the mastery of the musical parts, Chidoking founded and led the youth wing of the church choir till when he left Okigwe.

With the recording of songs such as ‘IMELA', ‘EZEM' , ‘I GIVE IT TO YOU' , ‘I DO' , etc, Prosper Rufus is poised to take a lead in the gospel music genre. He is currently promoting his debut song, IMELA.

His record Label, Flamez Record is created to provide a platform through which he could extend support to other upcoming artists.

Chidoking is a graduate of chemistry from Abia State University, Uturu.
